Results of Mass. Gaming Commission meeting on Nov. 14th

Due to the overwhelming response of townspeople against the race track proposal, a petition of over 430 registered Hardwick voters was submitted to the town. The required 12% of registered voters plus two-fifths were certified by Town Clerk, Ryan Witkos, and the Gaming Commission was notified that the petition was received and a matter of public record. Due to the receipt of the petition, the gaming commission has delayed their decision on whether or not to grant the license to Commonwealth Racing until one of two things happen: 1. The Select Board members reconvene and vote to overturn their YES vote or 2. The Select Board maintains their previous vote and pushes this to a special town election. Please keep an eye on the town calendar for upcoming meetings related to this proposal. http://townofhardwick.com/Calendar.html

In receipt of the multipage mailing from the racetrack. I didn't make it past page one without finding a statement that could be construed as false. Should we post those here?
